Nova is one of the newer names in bidet seats, and it is making its case at both ends of the smart-seat market. The flagship Ultra-Nova chases the established premium players on design and automation, while the Eco-Nova undercuts them on price without giving up the features most people actually use. Design and Profile

This is where the two seats diverge most. The Ultra-Nova's ultra-slim, lipless body is the reason to pay the premium. On most toilets it reads as part of the fixture, and the auto open and close lid completes the hands-free, built-in feel.

The Eco-Nova is still slim and low-profile, but it is a more conventional smart seat in look and operation. The Eco-Nova's wash is more interesting than its price suggests. The stainless steel nozzle oscillates for wider coverage, and the air-bubble induction pump aerates the stream for a softer feel, with a pulsing warm-and-cool massage option on top. The Ultra-Nova adds an enema mode to its rear and front cleansing, aimed at users who want a more targeted wash. Both let you adjust pressure, temperature, and nozzle position.

Hygiene and Sterilization

Nova takes a belt-and-suspenders approach to keeping things clean, and it differs slightly between the seats.

The Eco-Nova pairs a UV sterilizer lamp with Nano antibacterial water filtration, so the nozzle is both sterilized by light and fed filtered water. The Ultra-Nova leans on Silver-Nano antibacterial filtration and an antibacterial polypropylene build for self-sterilization. Warranty and the Newer-Brand Question

The honest caveat with Nova is its track record. TOTO has been making Washlets since 1980, and Brondell and Bio Bidet have years of seats in the field. Nova is newer, so there is less long-term reliability data to lean on.

Two things soften that risk. First, the warranties are competitive: four years on the Eco-Nova (with the trial extension) and three years on the Ultra-Nova, both well beyond the one-year coverage common on TOTO seats.
